i got no where with sky he said they stopped doing them last sunday . i will try that 0800 number tomorrow as it may be a different department

Tell them you have seen an offer with NTL and they will do your package at a lower price then you currently pay(make one up that you are happy to pay) and you want to leave for this reason. Then see if they wont offer you something
On the other side call their bluff and demand to be disconnected. My old man did this as he wanted out anyway and they harrassed him 3 times a week till the contract was up offering him all sorts to keep him
