Hi Josie31,
Nice to hear from you.
Have you got the link to your topic as would be interesting to follow your progress to comapre as we might find tips form each other on battling these companies0 -
Just tried to copy the link on here but won't let me as I'm a new user
No replies as yet though!
yeah would be good to compare as reading some of the other similar threads on here am bracing myself for a rather horrible time with them all!! And if initial conversations with them yesterday were anything to go by not exactly the most co-operative of people!0 -
Yeah I am bracing myself for a bit of a rough time but am not really intimidated by these companies especially when i am offering to actuallypay them back everything I owe but on me terms.
Ill have a read of your topic and see if I have any useful guidance as will save you having to keep checking someone elses topic all the time0 -

Hi Josie and Super Ram
If you can afford to - absolutely completely close that account to be sure, but I would also still recommend reporting your card lost in a public place/stolen.
Josie - I would never recommend calling these people, keep everything in writing. You have already discovered they are unhelpful to deal with, and once you do actually default they turn from unhelpful into simply unpleasant.
What I would recommend is keeping in their faces daily though with your replayment plan offers. Email them at least once a day, twice a day is better and then at the end of the week, if you get no response, print off all your emails and post to them asking why they have not responded.
When you do start getting some responses respond to them promptly and again follow up in writing to confirm, not just email.
Send all letters recorded delivery and keep copies with your receipts and file them away. NEVER sign any letters EVER!
Don't be intimidated by them, deal with them like any other creditor.
Best of luck

Okay so some progress today
I forwarded my email onto Wage Day Advance with I/E again
I have had a reply now saying they are willing to accept my offer of a repayment plan for the next 3 months and then being reveiwed after that.
They said do they want me to take the payment directly using the card details they had(sneaky people) and I said no and can they forward me their bank details and I will send the payment via Standing order.
So hopefully success numer 1, so 2 to go0 -
Just to add is there anything i should make sure before starting this payment arrangement as in is interest frozen etc0
