Thanks for the replies
I have fairly sensitive teeth anyway and I don't think I will be trying the DIY route!!!
glowgirl - where do you get it from and what brand is it?
I had a bit of a problem getting it, some Boots sell it some dont, I got it in a small local chemist the brand is Healthcare, the woman who works in Lloyds said I will never find it locally because of a tv program that said you can make bombs:eek:using this and other stuff, you might need to hunt around becuase its an old fashioned product:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Not a home whitening treatment technically but a mouthwash of hydrogen peroxide 3% used twice a day has whitened my teeth beautifully and sorted out my gum problem and my dentist has approved it, very :money:at just 85p per bottle:)
What other ingredients are in the mouthwash? Hydrogen peroxide can be bought at hair supply stores like Sally/Salon services - but would depend what other ingredients are in there.

Is there anything that can be done to repair damaged enamel? Or to make it look less 'see thorugh'? I have a kind of faint stripe across my front teeth which I fear may be damaged enamel.
And are whitestrips safe?

There are things that can be done but you need to ask your dentist.
On no account use ANYTHING including strips if you think you have damaged enamel. It will make it worse and possibly very sensitive.0 -
I got hydrogen peroxide in boots- 6% but says to dilute in 5 parts water for mouthwash - was £1.01 for 200ml, compared to the colgate branded hydrogen peroxide mouthwash at £4 for 300ml already dilutedPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
