..Courtesy of my 9 year old daughter who has left a plastic mug of diluted blackcurrent juice on our unfinished wooden cabinet, which has subsequently left a dark ring stain pride of place in the centre of the surface..
Does anyone know how this can be removed? No amount of damp cloth and polish is doing anything to removed this eyesore..I have tried to search around for solutions, but can't seem to find much regarding wood stains. I have seen one sugestion of 'wood bleach?'
Any suggestions would be welcomed, as my wife is due back tomorrow (from work) and I really don't fancy breaking the news about her beloved cabinet..

A mild abrasive such as toothpaste may take it off after a bit of rubbing0

Hello trickrick
Welcome to the MSE site.
I'll move your thread to the 'Old Style' board, where the stain removal threads and experts are found.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Metal polish or toothpaste should do the trick, but they may bleach the wood, so you may need to do the whole surface:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
