I got a voucher out of the advantage machine for free 24/7 mens antipersirant deodorant today - its like lynx but £1.32. Machine let me print 10 - run out on Tuesday.

Self scan will let the transaction go through for £0 if you do them one at a time.

    4 down , 6 to go!

    Hi guys,

Did really well in Boots today. I had a 250 points off no.7. voucher which expires today, and a £5 off no.7. instore voucher. I knew from reading the forum that I couldn't use both on one item, so I chose 1 no.7 brush for £6.64 and a no.7 pencil sharpener for £5.75. (Thanks for this idea to previous poster). I took them to the till and luckily had very good SA who offered to put them through as 2 separate purchases. She put the brush through first with the £5 voucher, so I had to pay £1.64. She tried to put the 250 points voucher through too, couldn't understand why it didn't work, so overrode it. She then used another £5 instore voucher from that purchase (altho' I'd only spent £1.64!) to take £5 off the pencil sharpener, which came to 75p. So I spent 2.39 on 2 items worth 12.39, and got back £2.50 worth of points, so Boots actually paid me 11p for the two transactions! Result!!

I'm off to Boots today so wish me luck. By the time I factor in the cost of headache tablets brought on by trying to work out different combinations I'm sure I end up worse off :o.

Even more likely as there are now SS tills to factor in :o

Even more, more likely as I'm considering spending some of my £120 points. Has anyone actually managed to do this without coming over all faint? I know I will :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I've had similar amounts on my Boots card over the years- never been able to spend it all in one go (aside from one year where I spend Xmas and New Year in hospital, gave my Boots card to my sister and asked her to get my parents something for Xmas, £100 gone! I get the sneaky feeling not all £100 went on mum and dad...)

I now just let it build up and then spend it throughout the year whenever I have had a really bad day. Things like Clinique, Origins or Chanel stuff, buying several to get the gift with purchase or getting a facial (Origins) and then buying something I liked the feel of, it can really make my day. I find these come in most useful around March, June and September when I normally have no money and the offers/freebies tend to be better then they are now.
