we got one of these on boxing day!!!!! Great for the bedroom as you say, dvd player is great although somehow OH has managed to delete ll the tv channels again!!!

I've ordered one to collect on Thursday... does anyone know if I will still pay the price stated on the confirmation or if I will have to take into account vat rises..

Thursday was the earliest day they gave me for collection

It is likely that you will have to pay VAT at 20% as you won't have paid for it until Thursday. You'll have to pay around £2.60 more.

I've got one to collect over the weekend, aren't sure about the vat but think it goes on the date the order was placed? It didn't say anything about the rise when reserved or on the text message so would have thought it was going to be the same price. If not, then its only about three quid more so still a good deal.

When the VAT went back up from 15% to 17.5% argos held the prices until their new catalogue, maybe they will do that again, as their new catalogue is out in a few weeks anyway. I cant say for certain though.

Many thanks for the information about this tv. I have wanted a 19" tv /dvd combi for my bedroom for some time but could not justify the expense but this price is ideal. Some good reviews on the Argos site too about the tv.

I picked up the last one in this county yesterday as I've been after something similar for ther bedroom. Are any of you technical or experienced enough to know what is the best aerial if I don't have a roof one? (am on sky downstairs but not worth paying for multiroom!) TIA!
