Doesn't work like that unfortunately.
When I worked at Domino's the drivers knew the regular big tippers, but this would only be 1 or 2 customers that order very regularly (so like once a week), otherwise they wouldn't be remembered. The drivers are also separate entity to the people that takes the orders.0 -
I delivered pizza for 18 months and if I didn't get tips some nights I would be out of pocket as I was only paid 50p for each delivery and could quite easily drive 60+ miles in an evening. Lots of stop/start motoring and short journeys meant mid 20's mpg at best. I quit after finishing one week where I had worked four evenings 5.30 to 10.30 and after paying for my fuel I had just £18 to show for it. I cant begin to describe how soul destroying it was seeing people on benefits spending more on fast food in one night than I could afford to spend in a week on groceries working two jobs. Do the decent thing and give the guy/girl a quid.0

I tip any food deliveries, like chinese, indian etc, so, yes, i would tip the pizza delivery person.0

They dont get paid all that well so I hear, whilst its not your problem I bet some drivers get peed off trying to scratch some extra money, its not cheap running your own car and they can do fair bit of mileage a night
Done be mean at least give something even if its £1 in make a big difference to the driver0 -

I've never tipped a delivery guy, why should I? They are doing the job that they are paid to do, getting minimum wage at worst.
You don't tip the guy who reads your meter, you don't tip the postie every single time he delivers a letter, you don't tip the bin men every week when they collect your rubbish, so why tip the guy who brings you food?
If you order regularly, then maybe an Xmas tip, but that is all they should get...don't encourage them or it will become like America where they arrogantly hold out their hand as though they have a legal right to extra. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
If you really want to save money, make your own or buy in supermarket instead of supporting the black economy.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
