How to make a Hot pot for a party??

Hi, I am hoping to make a hot pot for a party. I will be buying the silver trays from the supermarket that are about 12 inchs long and 2 inches deep.
Could anybody help me with a recipe?? I am a veggie so not really up on meat dishes but don't mind making them if I can just put it all in a pan. I am planning to make it a bit easier with the pastry and will use ready made frozen.
I'm not really sure how many people I am making for so will probably make about 3 trays of meat ones and a veggie one. Any thoughts??
Hope somebody can help, need it for the 15th January.

i make mine in a casserole dish
fry off quorn steak strips and veggie lincolnshire sausages - chop into bitesize pieces
fry off 2 onions
put these in the casserole dish with a few chopped carrots, swede, parsnip etc etc
top up (just cover) with boiling water / boullian / red wine (mix)
oven (200plus) for at least an hour
when its almost ready take it out and mix in a couple of tbsp of veg gravy granules to thicken the stew
i make a veggie suet crust
(4oz atora veg suet / 8oz flour / few tbsp cold water to mix)
and bake it seperately on an oven tray
chop it into portions and plop on top of the 'stew' when serving
serves 4!
yum!0
