Question about frozen chips

Hi :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sent DS to the shop for oven chips and he bought frying chips by mistake. Don't own a deep frying pan and it seems such a shame to waste them.
Does anyone know whether it would be OK to coat in oil and bake in the oven like oven chips?:confused:

    :j yes

it's fne. put them in a big bowl and toss in oil ( add some spices/salt for cajun style fries) then bake as usual.

    yummmmy
  • I did that! (hangs head in shame). We were 3/4 of the way through the bag before OH discovered I'd bought the wrong kind.

We just sprinkled a little oil on the baking sheet, put the frozen chips on it and sprinkle a bit more over the top and cook as usual.

Thats good - I would probably try them without the oil even - or half and half just to see what they were like without the oil!
