If you have the patience I'd wait for elf to restock, they usually do about once a month and if you follow them on Twitter/Facebook they keep you updated. I've used many different brands of brushes, and in my opinion the £3.50 elf studio range is as good as MAC brushes, which cost £30!

If you can't wait, I'd recommend Body Shop brushes - but buy them off eBay, as many reps and wholesalers sell them on there. They're genuine, just make sure you get a reputable seller. I got all my Body Shop ones for less than half price from a seller called Katie (can't remember her full eBay name but it had Katie in it) and had them checked by a Body Shop rep who confirmed they were genuine.

I recently purchased a new make up brush from Superdrug, the make is QVS and it was only £3.99 and it is a really good brush that i would recommend :) I have used brushes in the past which have cost a lot more but i wont be buying the more epensive brushes again :)

On superdrug if you type in 'QVS' it only shows one make up brush but if you click on this then under where it says 'you may also like', it shows some of the other brushes :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
A recommendation given here on MSE once was paint brushes...and by heck, they are good. Much better than a very expensive eyeliner brush I have is the paint brush I bought to replace it!

I use quite a few colours of eyeshadow and don't like to be forever washing brushes so I buy one of those cheap sets after Christmas from superdrug or Boots to augment my more expensive collections and use the paint brushes or more expensive brushes for some things....e.g.liner, liquid foundation or mineral powder foundation.

Can I ask what you use to clean them?

ELF are horrible IMO. I hate everything on that website. Bodyshop used to be really nice but not so much now.
Ecotools are FAB, so are sigma brushes and both are cheap, especially the eco tools.
