Gamecube Metroid Pak £4.99 Comet instore

I may have been just lucky on this, whilst in Comet in Warrington I was looking through the bargain basket and noticed the Nintendo Gamecube Metroid Pak for a staggering £4.99  so I bought it. It is £129.99 at Amazon, you get the console, game etc.

There was only one so dont bother trying there but give your local Comet a visit just to see if there is any. No good giving you the SKU number as it didnt work on the system so she had to do it manually.

thats exactly what I thought but maybe an older member put it out and anyway most havent a clue what they sell anyway.
Also bought a PSOne rechargeable pack which lets you use your psOne and screen anywhere for only 99p.

Managed to get a PSOne power pack for 99p. Thanks to Caverncity.

Caverncity: Is your powerpack the Wild Thing one? The one I got did not have any instructions with it, nor a contents list so I don't know if I got everything. All that was in mine was the power pack with 1 long lead attached which splits into 2 plugs, one I can see goes into the PSOne but the other I'm not sure. There is a socket on the unit which seems to be for charging, either from AC adaptor or 12V car.

yes exactly the same as mine, one lead the yellow end one goes into the psone the other lead goes into the screen if you have one.
no instructions with mine just the unit.

    Thanks caverncity.

What threw me was that I have the official Sony screen which piggybacks the PSOnes power socket and so only needs one power supply.
I guess the unofficial ones need a separate supply, hence the two plugs.
I managed to get the Sony screen a while ago for my little boy from Comet when they sold them off for £20. I notice someone selling them on ebay for Buy It Now for £24+£6P+P. I think this is a bargain as the screen is great quality. My son also has a Joytech one for his Gamecube, but the quality is pretty poor when compared to the Sony one.

I also managed to get some GBA games from Warrington:
    Metroid Fusion for 99p
    Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament 2004 for 4.99
    PSOne game Digimon for 99p

The guy in Warrington said someone was in today and bought a Gamecube and a PSone Power Station. I guess that was you.

My missus said she saw Gameplay PS2 packs for £2.99 in Leigh which included an analogue controller, DVD remote and a vertical stand. OK for the kids.

Hi, my screen uses the PS1 power anyway but how do I charge the power [STRIKE]brick[/STRIKE] battery

Found this on the Wild Things Website to do with charging the unit:

    http://www.wild-things-website.co.uk/downloads/Instructions%20for%20the%20Wild%20Things%20Monitor%20Battery.doc

I'm just charging mine with a 12V AC adaptor.
Make sure the centre pin of the adaptor you use is Positive.

Hope this helps the few people that managed to get one. I managed to get a second one and opened it up. The battery is a sealed lead acid one so shouldn't suffer from any memory problems like NiCd batteries. You should also be able to top the charge up without any adverse effects.
