Salon quality blonde shampoo?

I'm looking for some recommendations for salon quality blonde shampoo.

My hair is naturally blonde, never been dyed or treated in any way. I used to use John Frieda blonde shampoo and I loved it but they changed the formula at some point and now it makes my hair stringy.

I'm currently using Andrew Collinage illuminating blonde shampoo and conditioner and I like it.

I read that salon shampoos last longer and work better than the ones you buy off the shelf so I'm now looking for recommendations for a shampoo that will clean up my blonde without drying it out.

I use regular shampoo every day, just use Tresemme at the moment, whatever is on offer, but about once a week I use Affinage White Ice Blond Bombshell which is amazing. You wash your hair as normal, then rinse it out and apply this for 5-10 minutes and it strips out any brassy tones. It's almost like a blue rinse but I absolutely adore it. My bottle I must have had for four months and I'm only half way down it. You don't use a lot.

Then you condition as usual. After I've conditioned it, before blow-drying I use Morrocan Oil which really is a revelation. It keeps my hair in really great condition and I have naturally dark hair but have it very blonde indeed so it really needs moisture. Again, I use only about the size of a 20p piece, if that, and it lasts forever. It also smells gorgeous and moisturises your hands at the same time :D

I actually swear by this routine now and I've not been happy with product since they stopped making Salon Selectives years ago.
If I could afford fancy shampoo every day then I'd use the Moroccan Oil one.

  • Aveda Blue Malva is very good for keeping blonde hair bright and removing brassy tones or they do Camomile if you like golden tones.

Fantastic quality shampoo too - I've used it for years.

Good deal at just under £20 if you have short hair.

If you wont use the water wax you're a smidgen cheaper to get conditioner and shampoo seperately.

My friend has blonde hair and uses shampoo from Lush, she says it's great and her hair always looks good. Can't remember what it's called but its purple colour.
