Made doughnuts but ran out of oil - where to store?

I have just made some doughnuts but have realised that I don't have enough oil to fry them.
As the shops are now closed I will get the oil in the morning, but where should I store the doughnuts? Will they be alright if I cover them and leave them in the fridge?

Yes, a yeast-dough will be perfectly OK kept overnight in the fridge.
