  • Empty the mince into a large freezer/sandwich bag, then sit this in water. It will defrost in no time - I'm always doing this!

put it in a bag (with no holes ) or if its sealed in a pack use this, put it in warm water verging on hot, i usually weigh the back/pack down so its compeletly submerged.... might just be done in 2 hrs, or at least enough so u can cook it slowly on a low heat to finish it off and start it cookin.

We dont have a microwave ... so we havent got that option

I'm another one that does it from frozen, pop it in the oil, keep turning over and scraping off the cooked layer on the bottom, as long as you keep doing this and moving it arround it works just fine( you can end up with a fair ammount of liquid this way, but once it's cooked throw in a couple of handfuls of flour that will soon dry it up)

my other half just opens the pack of frozen mince and puts the frozen block of mince straight into the frying pan to cook! thats men for ya!  i must admit the spag bol tasted fine although after walking in on his culinary skills i just left him to get on with it as i was too scared to watch anything else he might do!:rotfl:
