Hi Katie, I was asking after you the other day as you had been AWOL for so long! Glad you are back, but hope your back is better soon. King Charles Spaniels are lovely loyal dogs, we thought about getting one before we got our westie.

Just popped up the road to the shops, I was gone less than an hour and I had visitors pop round, I missed them by 5 minutes and we must of passed one another in the high street! :mad: I had a feeling I shouldn't bother going out, wish I hadn't now!

Still, I got some bargains at the butchers - a whole pork shoulder (Nearly 5kg - its enormous!) with a Jamie Oliver recipe card for £6.99. I got the butcher to chop it into 2 joints for us, so thats our sunday lunches sorted for a while.

Thanks everyone for your get well wishes sadly I cant take Fudge as its not on the list of suitable dogs as I would be allergic to him and at home dad has a list of suitable dogs I can have that I wont be allergic to.So Fudge will soon get a new home but sadly not with me but I understand as I dont want to get bad health.

Oh, how disappointing! I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I'm sure there will be another lovely dog out there just waiting for you to give him or her a loving home one day.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I have been out for a long walk - dragged away from laptop yet again by DH! It is a lovely day though with the sun trying really hard.

Sorry you have been ill Katie and hope you get a dog soon.

Sounds like you got a good bargain at the butchers Molly, We had pork the other day and it just melted in the mouth and had hardly any fat on it at all.

Just had word back from Barclays about the Sports Direct vouchers - they say they will be fine now. Hope so as I have another £100 to spend! :j Won another football this morning to so have done really well on that comp. I expected January to be quiet but I seem to be spending more and more time entering comps :eek: DH says I have to get some hotels booked for the spring with the priority points I won. Been thinking about adding Cardiff on to the end of our week in Porthcawl as hotel only needs 10,000pts and includes brekkie. Anyone been to Cardiff lately?

Off to hang out some sheets now.

We went to Cardiff for New Year & it was lovely, would go again tomorrow if I could.

Thanks. The hotel I was looking at was at the waterfront (Express by Holiday Inn) and had parking for £3 a day. Says you can walk into centre from there. Tempted.:)

Our hotel was about 15 mins walk into the centre, but also a nice steady walk to Mermaid Quay as well which was nice. I'm sure you'll love it!
