Korky if it makes you feel any better, when I had a similar incident in the Summer we ended up having to buy a new oven! I had made an apple pie, once it had cooled I put it back in the oven to keep any flies off then forgot it was in there. Later that afternoon I put the grill on to make dinner and when I opened the oven to put the kebabs under the grill found the apple pie on fire! It had looked really nice too Luckily our insurance covered it. Worst bit was my OH got the powder fire extinguisher out, pointed it into the oven and the powder hit the back of the oven and rebounded back into the kitchen, all over the kebabs and everything within a few yards, it took hours to clean everything up and dinner was ruined.

Morning all,

Nice calm pic this morning Korky. Things have calmed down now but only just! Couldn't find any plasters this morning and there is a nearly new pack somewhere. DD skinned her heels ice-skating on Friday so hectic looking for them. Still haven't found them but found some old cheap useless ones. Diggers are breaking up the drive in the house across from us so that noise is echoing everywhere now. Don't think I am going to have a good day! Hope everyone else does.

Packed quite a lot in, so I'm quite tired today. I'm back at work, so this'll be me this afternoon...

Don't think i'll be back comping for a few days as have lots of work to do! :eek:

I'm not sure if this is right place, but here we go..."Hi"

I have been comping on and off for a few years now (though more off than on!) and won very little! I have been using these forums since I started comping, but have always been a lurker rather than a poster.

I have decided to get a bit more involved & thought I'd start by saying hi. My name is Charlotte & I have a 13 month old daughter and have started comping again recently.

So, that is it really.

Hope everyone is well & winning and here's hoping that this time round I'll be able to win a bit more than a pair of headphones
