I'm a terrible mum....my DD got a letter to say she got secondary school she wanted but I thought I would tippex it out for a joke and put another school down! I told her truth before she got too upset

Yes quite excited about champagne packet Lily! Birthday is Sunday - so off on Friday for 2 nights returning on Sunday to get cards and prezzies! DS says it is windy in Bermuda just now.

It was nice you won on Dorset Cereals too. Was needing a new apron but not sure I will like the chocolate granola! Hoping the kids will like it as I still have loads of the variety packs and the marmalade granola left.

You won't have to buy any cereal in a while then! I have porridge usually in the morning, but was planning on getting granola or cereal clusters to go with plain yogurt as a snack so am chuffed with the win. :j

Haven't had any freebies through the door this month though. :eek: The postie keeps missing my house! Reckon the comping fairy took his place today so can't complain really.

Nope, the drama continues.... The laptop is still broken but luckily it has 2 weeks before the warranty expires. OH is going to take it back to the shop tomorrow. He is quite good with computers so has been trying to retrieve some of the stuff he had saved on it. Unfortunately he has just found a whole load of photos on it that aren't ours :eek: So... by the looks of it the brand new computer that he bought less than a year ago was either originally returned to the shop by another customer or has a reconditioned hard drive. To say he isn't happy is an understatement...

On the bright side though we've got the netbook that I won in December so at least he can use that in the meantime

Even getting the prizes that i've won have even been dire. I won a 'Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest' goody bag back in early december. I waited and waited and nothing so i contacted Filmshaft. There were problems with the PR company that organised the comp. Eventually i was told that i would not received that goody bag due to some problem but i would receive a couple of DVD's hardly comparable with a goody bag. And guess what I'm still waiting for those DVD's how difficult is it to put a couple of DVD's in an envelope and then in the post. :cool::mad: I'll give it another week before i'll contact them again.

I hope the comping fairy comes back soon as i'm getting a little dispondent.

OK rant over. Back to comping.

Hang in there Jimjams. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a big win for you soon

Thanks sheils. OH will hopefully manage to get something sorted at the shop. It's annoying though to think that he paid full price for a new item and then has just been fobbed off with something second hand / pre-owned

Anyway are you looking forward to your trip away sheils?
