Sheils, I know what you mean about scottish power. I got a call off them last night, DH decided to hand me the phone while I was on the toilet I said immediately I wasnt interested but then he said its about the competition you enter to win £3000...I've entered that many comps I didnt know if it was genuine! When he started asking me for d.o.b I said I wasnt interested in changing supplier but he became very rude and so I put phone down! They're so annoying!!

Not been a very good day today. DS is still poorly so had to get mam to mind him but I dont think she was too happy about it. Then I got a call from Airline to say they have changed their flight days to Tues instead of friday. I asked for alternative but she said accomodation is still booked but need to change flight. I am a T/A in school so I'm not gonna be able to get time off within term let alone kids! Plus DH has put in his hols with hospital where he works and he was lucky to get that date. I told her I would have a think but dont know what I can do. I've also checked and theres no other hol dates available.

I did make the mistake of entering Scot. Powers comp months ago - didn't realise it was theirs! Got them stopped phoning and this is them starting again. Guy said he would "try" to get me off the list! Last time the guy told me not to believe comparison sites!!! Will try them with threats of Fair Trading if they phone again Crin.

Hope you get the holiday sorted wingo - couldn't you fly from a different airport? Hate it when they mess flights about - I pick holidays for their nice flights and pay extra and then they change them to night flights and there is nothing you can do. We live so far from an airport it is a real pain having night flights.

I've checked all their airports and they are all tues flights! I dont think we're meant to go on holiday!

That is really dreadful - never had the day of our flight changed before.

Sheils - sorry to hear you've had hassle off of Scottish Power. I've had some fella keep ringing me lately saying he's doing some sort of consumer survey, he asked to confirm my address and I told him I wasn't going to give my personal details to him then hung up!

Crin - sorry you haven't had a chance to do any comps. Hope you have time to do some soon.

Wingo - that's terrible about them changing the day of the flights, I can't believe that! Surely everyone books holidays for when they can get the time off, I just don't know how they can get away with that! :mad:

Just booked my birthday break! Couldn't get into the Blackpool Hotel we wanted so checked Holiday Inn again and the BOGOF was back and even better. Paying £59 for 2 nights for the Lancaster Holiday Inn. It is nice with its own swimming pool etc. :jWill have to pay extra for meals but decided that would be the best deal. Could have used the points I won but it needs 25,000 points a night and I usually only pay 10,000 for the hotels we use.

When do you go off for your Valentines Break Lily?

Evenin' all - just a quickie for you lovelies having problems with unwanted phone calls - I always stop them mid-sentence by telling them I'm registered with the CPS (Caller Preference Service) and therefore they shouldn't be making unsolicited calls to me.

The caller always then gets slightly flustered & ends the call cos they can get into lots of trouble if you're on the CPS register and they're bothering you with unwanted calls.

You can register with the CPS online really easily.

Anyway, that's me done... can someone get me a cheeky Voddy in please?!

Yay that's good Sheils! :T Has Madame Tussauds opened up there yet? We went to Louis Tussauds when we went last year and it was :eek: The one in Great Yarmouth is even funnier as you can't even guess who people are meant to be!

Rock chick bird - I registered with the telephone preference service ages ago, not sure if that's the same thing, might have to do it again!

no probs - even if you aren't registered, just tell the caller you are and they immediately get scared off. Works every time with me.
