mortgage for over 90!

Options
Hi,
I jointly own our home with my mother.
I am 60, mum is 90. We are both widows.
Our joint income from state and private pensions plus attendance allowance for mum is almost £2000 a month.
When I put my income alone into mortgage calculators it says I can borrow £50,000. We need this money to improve the house and make it more comfortable for mum.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to borrow this given mum's age? And my age come to that!
Will visit the Halifax when they re-open, just thought someone on here might know.

Thanks
Hunnie

Go and have a chat with the Halifax but its all about affordability and you have £2000 a month to live on.
Have you tried speaking to the council or applying for grants ( insulation etc)
