It's OK - I emailed Steve and he got back to me - I had realised that I can't get a National/Network Railcard to save 1/3 on train fares as it only covers London and the South East (up to Peterborough as it happens) and of course I can't get a Senior Railcard as they are for 60 and over (and they need proof of date of birth), so, unless I can find a child to travel with for a Family Railcard, it is full fares for me
Just booked my next trip up to see Mam - was going for a week running up to Mother's Day, then back home for 2 weeks and back up again for my 3 weeks staying in my sister's house while she is on holiday in America, but Mr 3Dogs suggested I go up on the day before Mother's Day and stay right through, adding that he is not trying to get rid of me, but it saves 2 train journeys, and that way, I could afford to travel up First Class for comfort, free wi-fi, free newspapers, and free drinks/biscuits on journey, so that is what I have done. Mind you, that will be a 5 week visit :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13
