    trained? cough..... its in my blood,,,, my grandfather was the village baker you know

    My Grandfather, my Mam's dad, was described on her marriage certificate as Master confectioner - but I never knew him as he died just after I was born

    The Saturday before Christmas, he had been selling large bunches of purple carnations for £1 a bunch, but gave me 6 bunches for £2 as we went out, and they lasted all over Christmas, all over New Year, and some were still going when I went up to Mam's last Saturday :D:D

    Blimey my mate sure dose know how to get a bargin.. all the money he saved on you went on his beer... :rotfl:

    thats realy nice of that fella to let you have them at that price. It nice to know you have some good friends at the car bootie. :D

    Yep - that's what we love - bargains galore :j :j I gave 3 bunches of the purple carnations to my neighbour, as there were to many for me - that cheered her up at Christmas

    SW, what happened to the soup you were going to have,,,, am glad your going to do the dreaded ironing as we were going to send the ironing !!!!!! around armed with their violin cases full of irons
