Which of the following Olympic events will be held within Hackney?
1. Handball – men’s semi-final

I can see why you had problems finding the answer.
The best I can see is the handball event will be held at the Handball Arena [no sh*t Sherlock]. The basketball event will be in the Basketball Arena etc.

I get an error message when I try... I hope this is not a sign of things to be in the 2012 Olympics!!
Edited: I think the Handball Arena is in Stratford, which is not in Hackney

Events being staged at the Arena include men’s and women’s preliminary stages and the women’s quarter finals for the Handball competition, the Fencing discipline of the Modern Pentathlon, and, during the Paralympic Games, Goalball.

Just confirming the geography - The handball arena and hockey stadiums are the only parts of the Olympic Park in Hackney - ie. West of the River Lee and North of the railway on which Hackney Wick station lies. The Basketball arena is in Waltham Forest.
