Given the fall in interest rates and my now much lower LTV, I am in a position whereby it would be beneficial for me to leave my current mortgage provider and pay the early repayment charge.
The early repayment charge drops significantly from 1 June 2011 and therefore provided I can secure a rate at there current level, I shall be moving.
My question is how far in advance can you apply for you products? I.e. can you apply, say, in January for a fix rate to commence from 1 June?
thanks in advance

It is possible to get a mortgage offer valid for 6 months but you need to be aware of how long the rate is available for.
Some lenders will be x months from completion, where others will have an expiry date, for instance fixed until 01/02/2014. If you were to complete on the latter in June then you will have lost some of your fixed period.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
