Spreadsheet help

Options
Hi all, due to illness causing brain fog on a daily basis im starting to forget what ive won in the past so i am trying to do a spreadsheet so i can record what ive won, who i won it from and a value off each prize and total, I have downloaded open office and tried making one but i just dont get it, i have also tried to find a similar template that i can just edit but keep hitting a brick wall, could anybody help me in either pointing me in direction of a template or even an idiots guide to templates that really is for idiots:p

Thankyou

Do you have Microsoft Excel? That's what I use and it's real easy. I keep a monthly tab for the prizes I've won and their value, which feeds into a yearly total.

If you do have Excel I could always send you a copy of mine.
    2009 Wins = £833
    2010 Wins = £6,597
    2011 Wins = £7,083

    £2,012 in 2012 = £450/£2,012
    20 in 2012 = 4/20

Yes you do but you only need limited formulas. Start by puttings in headings on one row, date, prize, where from, date arrived, value etc and then put the article you won underneath. Also put a heading at the end for running total this column is the only formula you will need. If you let me know what column you are using for running total I'll tell you the formula that goes in the column. The column will be heading with a letter i.e. H, I, J etc.

Yes but you can put them in automatically. There should be an 'AutoSum' button, which like a bit like an 'E' - I think it's some sort of Greek/Roman symbol but could be wrong!

Say in column A you list what you've won, then in column B you put what they're worth, if you go below the last number you've put in the column B and hit the AutoSum button it should automatically add them all up for you.
