Watching Jools Holland Hoottennany on BBC3, if I can be bothered to stay up till then.
I rarely go out New Year though, much prefer staying in.0 -
I agree NYE is over-rated, what's the point of going out? Beer is so cheap it's much better to have NYE parties0

we always have parties new years eve but won't be this year as sunday will be the 1st anniversary of step dads passing. A night in with a takeaway and Ben (Big) is tonights plan!0

I love staying in at New Years Eve. I do not miss shivering waiting for taxis in the early hours of the morning. Much rather be somewhere warm.0

We usually stay in but are going out for the first year in ages. A group of us (34 adults and 33 children) have hired the church hall - we've sorted food, drink, music and entertainment for the kids. Looking forward to itIt's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0

hubby and i stopped going out for new years when i was 21. as our first child was born when i was 22. but wouldn't change it for the world.
we always have a chinese takeaway. but last yr to took over 2 hours for delivery, it killed the kids, lol. so we had that last night. and tonight. were having a buffet meal for hubby, our 3 children and i. Will play some wii, maybe some board games. If the kids stay awake till midnight they do, if they don't then not a prob. We will just enjoy the time together. i want nothing more from and evening than being with my lil family.0 -
I usually go out New Year's eve but intend to stay in this year in the warm enjoying my free bar (no queue for the loo and an endless supply of loo paper):rotfl:
I might watch the christmas day poirot and might even be in bed before midnight !!0 -
Watching Jools Holland Hoottennany on Ch4, if I can be bothered to stay up till then.
I rarely go out New Year though, much prefer staying in.
Same for us, never see the fuss about it all to be honest. Although should say Jools Holland is on BBC2 not Ch4 incase you can't find it. :beer:0 -
I mean't BBC2. Don't watch much tv nowadays so get confused easily. May get rectified now I've got Sky.0

I'm staying in. DH and kids always go to my MILs on New Years Eve as she has all his side of the family there, but to be honest I can't be bothered with the whole thing - so I smile sweetly and wave them off - then I get the house to myself, the remote control to myself and will have a few glasses of Baileys (to use up the Christmas bottle!) then get to go to bed at a time that suits me without anyone calling me "boring" - Bliss!
I think NYE is over-rated....can you tell;)?0
