is it really true......

Just thought I'd ask what might be a daft question...

I also saw someone say on here that if you save unused envelopes with postage already paid (the kind you get from companies if they want you to reply), you could re-use them, put whatever addresss you like and therefore not have to pay postage.

Now, I somehow can't quite believe this. And every time I come to post something and recycle one of these envelopes, it's something that I can't risk not getting there. So I stick a stamp on anyway.

Does anyone know?

    There was a thread about this before and someone posted saying that their OH had tried this by sending it to themself as a test. And that they'd got a message to collect the envelope and pay a certain amount as postage and an admin fee!

    I think if the envelope isn't sent to the business who's paying, it gets registered and you have to pay extra. So probably not worth it!

    Yep, that was Mr Moozie :rolleyes: It cost him around £1.20 as well as endless evil looks from me :rotfl:
