Apr 2026 update
Did not realise i had not posted for almost a year and a half, but felt I should now…
Opening Mortgage balance as of 01.10.21 - £438,500.00
Current Mortgage balance as of 01.04.24 - £395,511.92
ISA balances - £417,662.34
Net Mortgage outstanding -£0 (technically £22k in surplus)Crazy stock market for end of 2025, and some shares vesting means we tipped over the mark as of yesterday. Bit in shock as really did not expect to get here so quickly. Won't actually be paying it off for the time being - but nice to know (markets permitting) we can do it whenever we like! I am 42 and my OH is 40, so now the push is on to accumulate enough to retire before I am 50.
