Wages not gone in

I am usually paid on the last working day of every month. We were told though that our wages may go in early with it being the festive period. I have spoken to a few of my workmates who say they have already been paid but there is no sign of my wages. I have spoken to the bank who say that tomorrow is not a bank holiday so there would be no reason for the wages to go in a day early, but I don't understand why some of my colleagues have received theirs - could this be dependant on who they bank with?
Obviously I will need to wait til tomorrow to see if the wages go in or not, but I was just wondering where I would stand if they dont. There will be no one back in the office until the 5th of January, but I cant wait that long, I have direct debits etc due to come out.

Yeah, dependant on who they bank with. If their bank is part of the "Fast Pay" scheme, they'd have the bank transfer showing up straight away or within a couple of hours. I know Santander don't and they seem to take an age.0

I'm confused, you say your wages have not gone in but they are not due until tomorrow anyway. What don't you just wait? Don't worry about your colleagues, worry about yourself IF and when it happens.0

Could be that your colleagues bank with the same bank as your company, that may make it faster. It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0

I have asked and yes they do bank with the same bank, I didn't realise that would mean they would get wages faster.

If your company is closed until the 5th Jan adn you don't get paid tomorrow there won't be anything you can do about it anyway."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
