Could you tell me how you go about signing up for this please? I have had a quick look at their website, but couldn't find it, although there was a reference to something called 'delivery pass'- is that it? I may try them out one week using a money off code, then make a decision.

Ah- just found it, except that it is now £6.99 per month:(. Don't think I'm likely to sign up for it but will try them out and compare with Tesco and Asda first.

Couple of things that might be useful:

    - last time I looked, if you spend more than £100 with Sainsburys for a Tues - Thurs order there's no delivery charge.

    - Not sure it they're still doing it, but in December Ocado were doing an offer where you could sign up for a year of deliveries (except Christmas week) for £3.99 per month. I've signed up and use it for staples that I need every week and go to Sainsburys maybe twice a month for the things I prefer from there. Ocado price matches Tesco on lots of things and are doing more 'budget' ranges lately.

Hey Toffifee, I didn't know that sainsburys did home delivery! being new to online shopping I must check it out , although I swore blindly I would stick to just one online shop!!!

Tesco multipack long life milk has been out of stock for nearly over a month. The delivery driver told me this is due to other shops buying in bulk. I think I will have to get my milk from lidl as this seems to be an ongoing thing with milk at Tescos. It's one of those items that is so heavy to carry, even 2 would knock me out!! hehehe

I do a weekly asda online shop and do find for me i can budget miles better this way even with delivery costs of £3, because when i go to the supermarket everything catches my eye and i never know how much i'm spending but also i find online i can see the offers better than instore where i'm always rushing....never been a shopper though. Instore shop was hitting £130 mark and online usually £80-£85

I can stretch some shops to 10 days and therefore some months i'm only doing 3 ish shops and some weeks i can get the price right down.

Mt only bug bear about online is them not having stuff, asda have been great but the last 2 shops they have had loads unavailable, not sure whether its because of christmas and the weather.

Just wish there were more vouchers knocking about, but saying that my last shop was a big one and had a voucher for £5 off on a £100 spend which we don't normally reach, so i used the voucher but there was a list of unavailable items when i got my shop but asda still took my £5 off :j

Downside is we have to go to asda now and get the extras they didn't have :(

I do a small online shop 3 times a week. Free delivery so why not... I do a really big monthly online shop of tins, packets, frozen and so on from a different supermarket each month as they usually miss me by then and send a free delivery code.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
