This weekend is definitely the one to post your items on if you can as I just saw a message that final value fees are going up as of Sept 4th:(

"Final value fees will be charged based on the combined value of the item listed plus postage. For example, if an item sells for 20 with postage cost of 4, the final value fee will be charged based on the combined value of 24. This will not apply if the listing offers collection only. "

Eb*y - they will always get you some how:cool:

Right need to get my eBay mojo back was a bit demoralised after my last listing effort when a lot of items that were brand new with tags that I thought would do well only went for 99p:(

Floxxie you have done so well :T

Credit crunch how do you find the time do you just have a whole day written off for eBay or do you do a few things each day?

Scotdebs, I refuse to post things for less than I would be happy to get for them and so have actually never put something on for 99p as it just wouldn't be worth the hassle to package and go to the post office for that amount. I try to combine things to bring their value to at least £10 so that I can then charge for tracked & signed shipping as people don't seem to mind the mailing costs as much when it's over £10. Also, I've found that the only issues I've had are with sales of things for less than £10 probably because they are not sent tracked shipping but also, it seems that sometimes it's for the cheapest things that people get the most aggravated so not worth it for me.

However, good luck, whatever your 'system'!

A lot of my items are relists, and they gradually build up. I do usuall try to do a 10 new items each time. I usually take a bunch of photos on a Friday then sit over the weekend & list on my iPhone or iPad.

I sold an item last week and have had a message from the buyer to say they are having issues with their eBay and can I send them an invoice through PayPal - does this seem legit? Also how do I do that?

    Thanks

Hi Foxy, thanks for the heads -up on the free listing weekend. Just a question though - is it only free if an item sells the first time (i.e you would have to pay as normal if you relist?:money:
