Northern Rock - First Time Mortgage Help!

Hello,

I am a first time buyer and was hoping for some advice!

I have seen a financial advisor who has given us a quote on a great mortgage with Northern Rock.

The only knowledge of have of this business is from when they went bump a few years ago.
Just wondering if they are okay to take out the mortgage with or if this may happen and become an issue in the future??

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Completely refunded on a new business model and structure - and with some particularly strong shareholders (i.e the British Government).

Safe to say if they go down, there will be many other things to worry about first !!

Anyway, what is the problem if anyone's mortgage lender fails ? You've got their money, not the other way round. Nobody had their mortgage called in, house repossessed, charges put up when half a dozen lenders (included Northern Rock) effectively failed a couple of years ago.
