I was after a low cost low power inverter to run the laptop so the kids can watch DVDs on long drives.
Can anyone recommend one, or beat these prices?
I need something with a car cig. lighter adapter anda 3 pin UK main outlet.
Ideally surge protected, and kids safe and quiet.
I've seen some on amazon but they are not sold by them direct
The belkin looks good: reputation for quality, value, power porducts, support etc.

So it looks like £34 inc delivery is the best price?

Saw this cheap stuff at henry's (which is local for me) but I'm not a full time student (in the conventional way) any more but at £25 its tempting!!

I bought one recently from this eBay seller:

Look for "DC Car Power Adapter for Notebook Laptop". It comes with a range of DC connectors and is only £12.50-£15 delivered. Works fine but it pays to tape or glue the voltage switch down so the kids can't mess with it.0
