Just wondered if anyone can give me any advice ( sorry if i have posted this in the wrong board).
Any way, im 21, a university student who works part time.
I get paid fornightly and i think the most i have picked up would be about £100 a fortnight.
I am currently on tax code BR ( i cant make sense of what this means lol).
Just wondered if any one can tell me if i am on the wrong tax code or not, tried the tax code checker and it just keeps telling me that the tax code i have entered is wrong as it does not have a letter :S

you are on emergency, tax, i.e. 20% of everything, so you need to supply a P45, or fill in a P46, so co can tax you correctly giving you the right allowances..0

You ask your employer for a p46 and they will send it to the tax office. This will put you on a week1/month 1 code meaning you will be paying tax correctly on the current earnings. The tax ofice will write back and change your tax code and you will get a rebate through your wages."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of."
