Bed advice needed

I'm looking for a new bed and unfortunately my budget is only around £300.
What I'm looking for is a kingsize divan set, ideally with a drawer. From what I've read 1000 pocket springs is the kind of mattress to go for, although I don't know if I should be looking at orthopaedic or pocket sprung. I'm not interested in memory foam (just as well with my budget!) as I've heard they can be a bit warm.
I know there are people here who know a lot about beds and i'd love to be pointed in the right direction.
I've seen this one at Tesco http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-3144.aspx which I think is a good brand, but its more than I can afford (and we're on a mattress on the floor at the moment so there's not really time to save up any more)
I'm quite tempted by this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KINGSIZE-5FT-DIVAN-BED-SET-2-DRAWERS-1000-POCKET-MATT-/110618289412?pt=Beds_Mattresses&hash=item19c15d2504#ht_1775wt_1139 I'd love to know if it looks good, but delivery could be around three weeks as the seller is away.
I feel like I'm going round in circles! I would really appreciate any help.

I think I should have put this in 'I wanna buy it or do it'. I'll copy and paste it over there and hopefully someone can delete this. Sorry about that.0

For your budget I would go for a good quality open coil sprung divan set.
Stay well away from big brand names and big retailers if you want good quality at a low price.0 -
We purchased our divan from a business on eBay last dec - though it is a double not a kingsize. It's a pocket spring divan with 4 draw storage - the mattress does have a memory foam top but tbh I really don't notice that it makes any diff temp wise when sleeping. We've had the bed for 1yr and been more than happy with it - I would guess that that divan base is prob a cheaper construction than some - but it's been more than adequate and sturdy.

I would also suggest that you go into one of the big bed retaillers and try a few out just to get an idea of what type of mattress you preferFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Thanks Kerri. I've just had a look at the website and this one looks good http://www.cheshirebeds.com/catalogue.php?item=213. I know it's a double, but we only wanted a kingsize because we've never had one before - a double has been big enough for the past 14 years! Four drawers would be a real luxury - you can never have too much storage space!
We're definitely going to have a look to see what feels good, good advise that I hadn't really thought of. I get a bit daunted by over zealous shop assistants.0 -

Beware......they have no terms and conditions on the site, and the number is a mobile. You really need to find out about their returns policy.0
