hi all, I managed to drag myself to the supermarket today even though I'm full of cold
I wanted to get some coffee which t's have on bogof but they didn't have any. It goes off offer on 25th of Jan and they aren't getting anymore in until the 1st of Feb. Humph !!
Still I got all the other bits I wanted so not too bad. Total spent £16.88 and only one more shop to do so fingers crossed I might just come in under this month
Have a good weekend all x0 -
i bit the bullet and opened my bottle of booze! dont feel happier for it because i wasnt unhappy before! --maybe i should learn to keep my money in my pocket and stick to coffee(which i am sure is just as bad as booze for me!)--i am about 200 quid under budget based on last month --now how can i spend my ill gotten gains!!???
Oh believe me...I know how you feel. I calculated that I spend more in a month on alcohol than I do on food. It's not that I am an alcoholic or anything, but I do tend to have one or two drinks a day.....:o
No excuses for it - I tend to need it after a tough day, and if this helps, opening the drink at home, is cheaper than going out
As for my spends today - £1 in Mr S and £2.21 in Mr T. Tonight I've opened the last bottle of wine leftover from Xmas!!! Will update signature.Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Done me shop this evening, that and a couple of small spends in the week take me up to a current total of £49.85.
I'm so annoyed with myself, I knew I was going in tonight to get things. Then I had to go in Wednesday to pick up a couple of bits. Then I forgot/didn't realise I needed something else as well, so had to go yesterday! Three days in a row is just silly! Must be more organised.0 -
A wee spend of £8.19 to buy some of the half price M&S tins of chicken breast in white sauce while they are on offer. I used up some credit on a gift card in part payment, hence the odd amount spent.
Pay day is next Thurs, 27 Jan and I have enough food in the house to last till then.
GQIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Hi All
Just one week left for me and I'm so excited to be coming in under budget!!! Budgeted around £390 per month and so far up to £295! Hoping to stick to under £70 this week and then the left over £25 is going straight of the debt!!
I'm over the moon....I never worked out the shopping properly but I reckon our actual savings are at least £200 this month alone!

Completely! It used to be alcohol that pushed me over, managed to cut down on that massively this month but toiletries have scuppered me!Mortgage£148,725 Student loan£13,050 HSBC loan£12,221
