My sister worked as a care worker between 2001 and 2005, but became ill in 2005 and only recovered in April this year after major surgery. Can't really help then ... I'm afraid. There normally has to be a rational reason for a refund (extra allowance due / change of job with a break in between etc)

In your sisters case - as I've said before - there may be unused allowances in the year she ceased work that may be worth exploring. But time is short if that was in 04/05, as the guillotine comes down end of this month.

If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
