I used some co-op vouchers today to get £15 off my weekly shopping. I usually go to Sainsburys but mum gave me these so I will add those. Only spent about £9 on top of that and we got some nice healthy tasty food to try and cut down on the junk we've been eating over Christmas
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

I've been quite busy the past few days, no rest for those trying to become richer eh? I've managed to get 100 items on eBay with some relisting and having photographed and written descriptions for everything over the past few weeks.

Wow well done! That's amazing :T My plan was for 100 this weekend - so far I have 21 and I'm soooo sick and tired of it now! Still, having a half hour break then will get back to it. Last time I put on 40 and 20 sold so I figured if I put on 100 I might get some decent money out of it!

    Evening all,

Got sent home an hour early last night and 3 hours early today cos it was so quiet
So slightly down on my hours there this week, but to be honest I was quite pleased (especially today) cos I was worn out anyway. Especially after spending the first 4 hours of todays shift cleaning :o

Right, so nothing to update on sig (still :rotfl:) but still a working progress :D

My total is going to look fab on my two paydays isn't it :D

    sweet x

  • Hi All

Nothing to add - just popped in to say I'm going to bow out of the challenge this month . It's my birthday this week and I'm going to be 50 !!!. I'm planning my party which is fairly big (by my standards) about 50 adults & 20 children & I just can't give the challenge the attention I would like.

I've been keeping to my budget for the party (thanks to the lovely people at Iceland who let me spend all my luncheon vouchers on wine) but have treated myself to little extras like earrings, getting my nails done etc. It actually feels a bit odd because I'm normally so frugal but as long as I don't go too over the top & stop once the Party is over it should be fine - none of it will put me into debt (again...). So I will see you all next month - although I will pop in to read posts. Good Luck All... x

MissKaytee: Good Luck to you & OH with quitting smoking. My friend has just succeeded after having smoked for more than 30 years. She downloaded a great online tool on the NHS website that counts how many days you have given up smoking & how much money you've saved.

Phew - ebaying done! Probably should have made more of an effort yesterday instead of doing it all this evening! But I now have the grand total of 48 things listed (4 of which are ending tomorrow night) :)

And plenty more I can put on throughout the week as 99p starting prices - just wanted to get the pricy stuff out of the way.

In the last few months I've learnt that EVERYTHING loses its value, and people just wont pay what I thought things were worth. Now I just concentrate on the fact that any money helps, and take less than I wanted. I've also learnt that I'm not as materialistic as I thought I was, as what counts is happiness, and paying things off makes me happy so that I can have a better future sooner.

I spend most of my wages clearing the last debts I have, overpaying every month - and I can't wait for the day that I have so much extra every month as I don't have bills to pay. This make £10 a day thread is really helping - and I've only been doing it for 2 months!

Amazing what we can all do with a bit of encouragement! So well done £10 a dayers :) :heart2: and thank you for all your little posts that make me get off my !!!!!
