The wife is looking for some new pots and pans in the January sales - would prefer non-stick . Not sure of budget - nothing too expensive - less than £50 if possible. I would be grateful of any recomendations. Thanks.

TJ Hughes have a 5 piece Tefal hard anodised set for £50. It's not suitable for dishwashers. Ignore the RRP which is extremely optimistic. This is the cheapest price I can find for this set.

If that's too expensive, Sainsbury have a Tu aluminium 4 piece set which is half price at £20, click and collect.

Anything cheaper than 20 quid isn't worth looking at because the non-stick coating won't last.0 -

I wouldn't recommend them mate because the teflon coating rubs off bit by bit over time and ends up in the food you consume slowly poisoning you. It is linked to birth defects and infertility. It's not just the teflon non-stick coating that is the problem but also other non-stick chemicals which are also carcinogens. I just recommend the stainless steel ones.
Perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, is used to make non-stick cookware. Studies have shown that PFOA causes cancer and other health problems in laboratory animals. PFOA is one of the toxic chemicals released when non-stick pans are overheated.
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has said that PFOA is likely a cancer-causing agent in humans. An EPA study has shown the chemical to be present in the bloodstream of 90 percent of Americans.
For more info on the toxicity of non-stick cookware as well as other packagings such as microwavable popcorn, packaging for fast foods like sandwiches, chicken, French fries, Pizza's, bakery items, drinks, sweets, chocolate as well as paper plates just do a search of the mercola dot com website for "teflon" and it will bring up a wealth of information for you including information on its links to infertility, birth defects and cancer.

This is real Mail readers dimbo health scare country. PFOA is used in the MANUFACTURE of Teflon. It is NOT present in Teflon. Have you read the actual EPA findings rather than a website that makes it's money selling dubious health products that it has scared its readers into buying?0
