Tulip - you won't be in trouble but Minerva will if Pinecone find out about the link being posted on here! Karen sends out frequent emails to her panel members reminding them that they are not to post links - the penalties are well known but many people ignore the warnings. Its not nice when you get caught - MSUK had a real upset a year or two ago and it caused a lot of bad feeling.

I don't mean to shout but ...YOU NEED TO REMOVE THIS LINK IMMEDIATELY!!! Pinecone will not allow their links to be posted on open forums - the invite means you can personally invite friends individually, not broadcast the link like this.

If Pinecone find out what you've done you won't be one of their members for long.

I didn't realise I wasn't supposed to post links, it didn't say anything like that in the email :o It didn't say I could only give it to friends either. I'm removing it from my original post, please could you edit your quote to remove it too? Thanks.

How come it's ok to send the link via private message to people you don't know (as others have done above?), but you can't post it on an open forum? It wasn't a referral link, I wasn't gaining anything by it, I just wanted to help people and Pinecone said they wanted new members!

I know you weren't gaining anything Minerva - Pinecone are REALLY sensitive about this and I'm not kidding you, if they spot links they will try to match you on their database and kick you straight off. One of the other forums I use for mystery shopping had no end of trouble a while back and it all got very unpleasant. Pinecone appear to only want you to pass the link to personal friends ie not cybermates and pm the link is probably also dicey. Sometimes people will shop you to Pinecone - and I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone on here (it happened on the MS forum and the suspicion over who had done it went on for months). I will amend my earlier post.

Thanks - too many glasses of wine ! I really don't want to see anyone get into trouble, Pinecone are very secretive and, when it happened on another forum a while back, it was so unpleasant. Its hard enough to get on their panel without risking being given the boot.
