Bath Bombs??
I seem to have collected a few for Christmas and not been a bath person, I was wondering if you lovely peeps have any idea's and what could I do to make them more useful to me. Not having any previous experience of them they seem such a waste.
Thanks

Regift them or use them in the airling cupboard or your drawers if you like the scent. You cant split them up and use them for soaking your hands and feet for mani/pedi's if you like that sort of thing.0

Thanks Buddingblonde.
The only trouble with regifting, it that they would end up going back to the person who gave them to me (very small family and friends group).:o
Do you think I could dilute them in water and add to handwash, for an exfoliating handwash??MAR GC £92.43 / £100 NSD 16 / 31

as this has dropped down the Old Style board, I've moved it to health and beauty to see if you can get some other suggestions
thanks

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I agree with the others about re-gifting.
It'd be quite easy to get a basket from somewhere, fill it with some shredded tissue paper and then add a nicely wrapped bottle of shower gel, the bath bomb, a flannel, and maybe a face mask or a hairbrush or something. Turn it into a gift set rather than gifting it individually, and then people are less likely to think it is something you have been given.

They make nice foot soaks. Just fill a bowl with water, pop ya feet it in and drop 1/4 of the ballastic/bomb in. Feels lovely and smells lovely and some are nice and softening.
If you are going to regift remember some fresher bombs (like the Lush ones) go "off" and aren't as nice after a couple of months.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
I'd agree with the foot spa idea above- this is what I was going to suggest!
I'd also suggest leaving them in sock draws (also already mentioned) to add to any washing powder scent and also to soak up any moisture in the air. For similar reasons they can make a nice version of a pot-pouree, especially if they are by Lush whose Bath Bombs smell really quite strong!
If you smash them up, wrap them in muslin and take them bit by bit into the shower (not all at once!) they can make nice exfoliators but they do dissolve quickly so act fast!
Not being a bath person myself I felt I'd lost the plot when I bought two of Lush's grab-bags and ended up with just way too many bath bombs but once in a while they can be nice, say after a freezing cold day when you can't get warm, sitting in a hot bath with a bath-bomb (or two
) can really make a difference and works better then a shower to warm you up. The cold weather isn't up yet so they could still become useful!
If you chose to store them for a later date, keep them in airtight containers to help retain the scent and life.0 -
Many thanks for all your ideas. :j:jI did wonder where my thread had gone.:o
Kitchenbunny - Are you the family member that gave me the bath bombs, as your idea is exactly how I received them
amyb & jenniewb - unfortunately they are not the lush ones, but good one for the keeping them in a container, as the smell is quite overpowering.
Thanks again peeps :beer:MAR GC £92.43 / £100 NSD 16 / 31
