hi im after some advice on my current morgage.
Me and my x partner have still got a morgage and she was still living there so she paid the morgage . little did i know she didnt pay the morgage 1 month and moved out . i was forced to move in to protect my credit rating as i couldnt pay both and she couldnt care less . i now have gone from an excellent credit rating to a fair with an unpayed mark on my credit file . my morgage runs out in a few month s and im worried i wont get another one ? will this late payment on my file stop me getting a different morgage ? she is prepared to sign the house over to me but RBS wont let me until there is 6 months without a late payment.
thanks

When you moved out you were still liable for the mortgage. Signing the house over won't be automatic even after 6 months - RBS will have to be satisfied that your salary is high enough to support the mortgage. Your best option might be to stay on RBS's SVR when your present deal runs out, until you find out if you can take the mortgage on yourself.0
