Mortgage Help!

Options
After coming out of a messy mortgage I am now debt free and want to get back on the mortgage ladder. I have been told due to my history in the current market I don't have a chance!

I am debt free and really don't want a life of renting forever!!

Any advice gratefully received

Pay all your bills on time.

    Save a big deposit.

    Be patient.

(Be totally open about what your problems were, when the occurred and when they have been cleaned up).

How do you mean messy mortgage?

What is your credit history like?

Any missed mortgage payments in last 2 years?
    Any CCJ's?
    Any defaults?

    Do you have a deposit?
How much do you want to borrow?
    What is your income?

Well no you don't really, if you couldn't hold it down in the good times you won't hold it down in the bad times with even more uncertainty and even more vulnerable jobs! a 100 years ago almost everyone rented history repeats it's self!. only my opinion of course and i don't expect any one to agree with it!.:rotfl:
