I don't have an AWT fp but reading your post, my first thought is, as you've acquired it from Freecycle you've nothing to lose by trying it out.

Did the person who told you this tell you from personal experience of one? In which case they are probably the best person to answer your questions :)
How about the person from Freecycle you acquired it from? Would they be willing/able to answer your queries?

  • Hi Queenie. I didn't think that anyone was going to reply to my post. I'm not moaning about the Food processor, I was just being inquisitive, the lovely lady whom i got the Food processer, had only used it a couple of times and then she moved house and had no where to store the FP, that's why she got rid of it also a "new bride" i think. I only wanted to know if anyone had problems with the volume for grating or what was the max amount of liquid to blend so that as someone said " I woun't burn out the motor, or the plastic would break on the grater if i used a certain amount of carrott. Phew.
Thanks anyway. I will carry on experimenting with it.

    Ah! Ok  :o

    Enjoy experimenting with it :D

Just done a quickie search on an AWT FP and if it's the one in Argos you'll find the full list of specifications on this Argos Webpage :-
    1.5 kg dry weight capacity.
    2 litre bowl capacity.
    1.5 litre blender capacity.
    HTH :)
