Death by Chocolate

Don't know if this is the right section to post in but can anyone tell me where I can buy a dessert called 'Death by Chocolate' please. I cannot find it in any of the supermarkets or stores local to me (North West) or on the internet.

Thanx in anticipation :)

  • Never seen an actual retail dessert called it. Certainly not for quite a few years.
AFAIC it is simply a menu recipe or dessert in restaurants

AFAIK Death by chocolate is discontinued, I used to by it regularly for the other half but it hasn't been around for a good while now.

You used to be able to buy it - Sara Lee made one, but haven't seen it for a while.

Could try and make one :D

I would have thought all retailers' versions of DBC were different (although obviously very chocolately!), unless you're talking about a specific brand?

Having eaten this previously in restaurants, they certainly all have their own ideas about this dessert.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

The Sara Lee factory in Bridlington closed a few years ago. All the eating places nearby used to sell it, probably bought from their factory shop. Yummy

  • Make your own.

    Start off with chocolate gateau,
    add chocolate ice cream,
add chocolate shavings from your favourite chocolate bar(s),
    add Cadburys chocolate fingers,
add Sainsburys extra thick double cream
    and
eat with your favourite partner in candlelight.
Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.
