Aberdeen for New Year - what's open?

Would like to get out of Edinburgh for Hogmanay and was thinking of heading up to Aberdeen for 31st and then around Aberdeenshire for a few days thanks to cracking deals on late.rooms.

Without doing the whole Hogmanay package thing for dinner, what places are likely to be open for something to eat on the 31st and on the 1st?

Thanks in advance

Most of the pubs and clubs will be lively at Hogmany.

    Some info here> http://www.aboutaberdeen.com/hogmanayaberdeen.php

Bit of a thaw in Aberfreeze today and it looks like it will be better during the week ahead.

Think everywhere will be open. Most supermarkets even open on the 1st!!! No street party again this year, was fireworks last year on Union Terrace think they on again.

I guess living here we arent impressed with Aberdeen at NY!

Thanks for the replies, it's a quiet one I'm after, Edinburgh celebrations are horrendous, 4 days! Just want to make sure I can get something to eat

I actually saw the fireworks from the warmth of my hotel room (Hilton Garden Inn, £56 on late rooms). Ate at Monsoona, mainly because we were starving by 5pm and other Indians didn't open until 6pm, lovely meal it was :)
