PCP Agreement advice
If this is in the wrong section please feel free to move it!
I am buying a new car and chose to take out a PCP agreement with the Royal bank of Scotland to do this.
I wanted to spread the cost of the car over several years and as they can negotiate significant discounts on a new car it equated to interest free credit over three years.
I had a quote and asked them to definitely confirm the price as I have been messed around before. They found one error, final price was agreed, finance approved, purchase agreement signed and accepted by them. Phone call confirmation that everything was in order and delivery will be in December.
Less than 24 hours later they are trying to charge me an extra £1100. Quote "Unfortunately when we did the prices for you on the car the dealership did not include auto for us, we presumed it was included."
Please can anyone advise me on this.
As far as I am concerned I have a contract with RBOS, not with the dealer
In view of my diligence on trying to ensure this was the final price (documented) should they adhere to the price?
Does the Consumer protection Act apply in this situation?
Do I just accept that I will have to swallow this increase?
Any advice welcome

I would have thought you had a legally binding agreement. You need to check the exact wording though. Does the agreement state the price covers everything or is it just a number?
