Going BR in Scotland in Jan 2010

Good morning all,
After burying my head in the sand for so long, ive decided to declare myself BR and after all my research about it,its the only way forward for me if i want to get a mortgage in the near future.

Currently,im a full time student studying for the next four years (started in Sept 2010),with a debt of £8,000.For two years, ive been literally working to clear my debts and i was running behind on my direct debits and having just very low amount of £ left for food and enough is enough,i'd to apply to go to uni if i ever intend on enjoying a good life for me and my child in the future.

This christmas,i was able to get my daughter the best christmas ever (cash only mind you :T).
Ive come to realise that i dont need credit to survive.Im hoping that after BR,2011 will be a fresh start for me and this time,i intend to make it work.No more sleepless nights worrying about money, some days,i had to cook a real meal for my child while i had toast for breakfast, lunch and dinner as i could not have my child going hungry-that was a no no for me.
I made sure that she had food in her stomach, was there for her,we did normal activities together and i made sure that at her age of 7, she didnt know that i was struggling.Ive been very lucky because, at her school, when parents were called in to check on the progress of their children.I was dreading it but what i was got from the teacher really made me proud. Her performance has been on top of the roof-they even asked me how i felt about her being taken to year four since she's one of the brightest in her class.

To sum it all up,im looking forward to the new year.
