How many legitimate Group buying sites are there

Hi, a mate sent me a link to this site that has deals from Groupon and Living Social - both of which I'm subscribed to, but it also has links to deal sites that I've never heard of and I'm wondering if they're safe or not. Is there a list of all the group buying deal sites in London? The site with all the deals was dealsparrow.com so if anyone's familiar with it and could let me know I'd appreciate it!

Cheers,
DJ

  • To be honest I think there are quite a few popping up now.

I know of KGB Deals, Crowdity, Living Social, Couponbox (this pools all the offers from some sites - Groupon, KGB and Crowdity). I've also come across Wahanda.

Always check the company you are purchasing a voucher for as I have googled some of the companies offering treatments and they don't have a website, or look a little flaky.
  • Hi,
Came across this site (findperfectdeal.com) that aggregates deals from various reputed sites and allows you compare and choose the right deal. You can even filter the deals by categories. Very clean layout and no signup fuss. Currently it only lists deals in London.

    cheers.
  • I agree that there are a lot of these sites popping up now since Groupon became so popular, and it seems to be more hit and miss based on the actual supplier of the deal itself. I would guess that most of the success or otherwise of these deals is reliant on the supplier being committed to good customer service, so it might be worth sticking to deals with companies you know at least to start with so that you have some other avenue to pursue if things go wrong!
  • There are MASSES of new group buying sites popping up now!!!

Some last , some disappear or have no deals for months on end but with a good team behind them and great relevent deals and good promotion I reckon some could rival the big boys in a league of their own!

There are new ''family related'' deal sites now too like 'likebees' and deal sites which offer more LOCAL deals like Mylo deals but there are many many others now and I am in the process of compiling a list of them all so will post them here...

Most have some fab deals pop up from time to time - I only just missed out on a great Virgin Wines one today so have signed up to loads of them as I really think it is the way forward with the recession and I think everyone has cottoned on to this now re the success of Groupon!

( I would actually LOVE to work for one of these group buying deals sites and get out there and knab some great deals for them as am very enthused about sourcing great deals!! )
