Mobile price comparison service 60207.com has an introductory offer to get your first price check free. So if you're out and about Christmas shopping, making an expensive purchase but forgot to compare through Kelkoo or Pricerunner (shame on you!) use it to benchmark the price before buying.
How does it work?
Martin’s always trumpeting the benefits of shopbots, such as Kelkoo* and Pricerunner*, which compare scores of online sellers to find the cheapest price, whether its books, games, CDs or electricals.
60207.com works the same way but sends you the three best prices via your mobile; the downside is you’re normally charged 50p for the privilege, whereas the service is free online – so you're far better off doing the research before you leave the house.
How to get a free price check
Until 31 December, 60207.com is offering your first price check free. Text the make and model number of any electrical or white good to 60207 and it’ll text back the three best prices.
Your mobile phone company will charge you to send the text; depending on your package this will be free (as part of a bundle) or between 3p and 30p. However, the reply from 60207 will be free.
Do it for free every time
If you’ve got an understanding mate who’s near a computer, the alternative is to ask them to do a quick search on Kelkoo or Pricerunner; you can always offer to return the favour next time!
Finally, don't forget to post below and tell other MoneySavers how the price check worked out for you.

You shouldn’t notice any difference, the links don’t impact the product at all and the editorial line (the things I write) is NEVER impacted by the revenue. If it isn’t possible to get an affiliate link for the best product, it is still recommended and still included. The following links kelkoo.co.uk, pricerunner.co.uk, shopping.com are identical unaffiliated links provided for the sake of transparency.
