bi focal glasses

My long distance sight is good but i cant read any more without glasses. Being a bit nieve I thought I could pick up off the shelf a pair of bi focals that are clear at the top and 1.5 at the bottom ...cant do at boots...anybody sell them of the shelf??

If you dont need distance, why not buy just reading glasses? These are available off the shelf all over the place.0

because I work as a guard on a train so i keep interchanigng between looking at tickets and walking along the train and out on the platform0
